The Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency has apprehended a suspected baby factory agent, Chiamaka Nlemchukwu 37 years (F) in Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA area of Lagos for attempting to take away her friend and former schoolmate’s baby by coercion.

Biola Olufemi 37 years (F), a young mother had complained to Officers of the Agbado Oke-Odo Command of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency that one Chiamaka Nlemchukwu 37 years (F), who she described as her friend and former schoolmate attempted to take away her new born baby boy.
Biola informed the Officers that Chiamaka supported her financially during her pregnancy and paid the hospital bills after birth.

About three weeks after the delivery of the baby, Chiamaka volunteered to take the baby from the homeless Biola and offered her some money asking her to sign some documents.
The documents she was requested to sign tipped off Biola, who said she suspected foul play and decided to report to the Agency.

Officers of the Agency immediately swung into action and invited the duo to the Office from where they were taken to the Headquarters of the Agency at Bolade Oshodi for further action.
The case has since been transferred to the National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons and other related matters (NAPTIP) for detailed investigation and possibly prosecution.
