Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun PhD has urged the Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Corps (LNSC) to foster a good relationship with the Lagos Police command in maintaining federal law and order in the state.

The IGP said this when the LNSA team paid him a courtesy visit at his office, in Abuja. The visit was aimed at strengthening the collaboration and partnership between LNSC and the Nigeria Police Force

The GM LNSA Prince Dr. Ifalade Oyekan fisn highlighted the importance of community policing and intelligence gathering in crime prevention and emphasized the role the LNSC is playing in supporting the Nigeria Police Force in these areas.

The IG of Police, in his response, acknowledged the significant role the LNSC plays in ensuring the safety and security of residents in Lagos. He however, seized the opportunity to inform other states to learn the act of Community policing from the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency.

Egbetokun expressed his willingness to collaborate with the LNSC and assured them of the Nigeria Police Force's support.

The courtesy visit was concluded with both parties expressing their commitment to working together towards ensuring a safe and secure Lagos State.
