The Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency and the Management of the Universal 

Basic Education Board, Lagos State has agreed to further strengthen the safer 

Schools initiative through collaboration.


While speaking at a Courtesy visit to the Office of the Board, the General Manager of the Lagos state Neighbourhood Safety Agency, Prince Dr Ifalade Oyekan fsin said the safer Schools initiative is in line with the directive of Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State to rebrand and broaden the scope of the LNSA.


Oyekan said the Governor's THEMES Agenda is an all inclusive vision that has all residents and visitors of Lagos State at its core with the present and future of Lagos State encapsulated in the safety cocoon.


The Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board, Hon Alawiye King welcomed the General Manager and commended the LNSA for its recent initiatives and programmes to make Lagos State safer and more secured.


Hon. Alawiye King wished that the Agency will increase its focus on the Primary schools as this is the fundamental period in the life of an individual. He said, "this the formative stage in human life and we can channel their energies more easily to the desired goals at this stage."


Prince Oyekan promised to put more efforts into the Primary school phase of the initiative without lossing focus of the other levels of the education system. "Every Lagosian is important to Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu. He has made that clear in words and deeds and we can not do less", he concluded.
