The General Manager of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency Prince Dr Ifalade Oyekan has commended Officers of Ikeja command of the Agency for apprehending fraudsters who have been tormenting motorists in the Local Government. 


He also called on the general public to be eternally vigilant as criminals don't often relent in their efforts to fleece them of their hard earned money through criminal means.


Prince Oyekan reiterated the commitment of the Lagos State Government to fight crimes and criminality to a standstill in the state while being briefed on the apprehension of members of a fraud syndicate operating in the state by Officers of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency.


The trio were intercepted by operatives of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corp (LNSC),  in Opebi, Ikeja following a tip off and handed over to the RRS.

 

Preliminary investigations reveal that the  suspects: Dele Olawale ‘m’ aged 52, Remi Ogunleye ‘m’ aged 45 and Kole Akintunjoye ‘m’ aged 40 reside in Ogun State but resume in Lagos daily to prey on unsuspecting passengers. 

 

The gang, operating in a Volkswagen Golf, with  registration number KRD 998 DE act like total strangers to one another to disarm their victim. They carry out their nefarious activities mostly in Lagos Island, Lekki and Ikoyi. 

 

Prince  Ifalade Oyekan also commenfed the Commander, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi and Officers of the RRS, for their regular  cooperation with Officers of the  Agency while on operation. 


The suspects has since been transferred to the State Headquarters for further investigations.
