The General Manager of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps, Prince Ifalade Oyekan has charged Officers of the Agency to buckle up and live up to the expectations of the Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-olu and the people of Lagos State.

Prince Oyekan warned the officers that it will no longer be business as usual as he thanked Mr. Governor for staying true to the THEMES Agenda which is reflected in his efforts at ensuring the security of life and properties in the state.

In his terse statement, he said "you people can only reward Mr. Governor for his efforts and the good people of Lagos State for their investments by perfoming not just the duties and tasks ascribed to you, but by perfoming them excellently."

Ifalade admonished the Officers to ensure they work in tandem with the dictates of Sixth pillar of the THEMES agenda of this administration which is Security and Governance.

Prince Oyekan also revealed that as part of ways of ensuring that LNSC will be able to compete with their counterparts globally and in line with international best practices, Commanding officers will henceforth be selected through a screening exercise and that the days of selection due to primordial sentiments is over.

He challenged them to always be on alert and be technologically inclined saying that "LNSC Officers have to be King's of the Communities and set the pace in community policing"

Prince Oyekan informed that the upcoming Local Government primaries and Elections is the first major test for the Divisional Commanders and Corp Superintendents, while warning that they have a zero margin of error under his watch.

The General Manager used the opportunity to demonstrate the use of drones, the riot Shield and the body worn camera which was earlier launched by Mr. Governor. He said that the body-worn cameras and other gadgets will enhance monitoring, help Officers during litigation and more importantly the riot shield will protect the Officers during violent situations. It willboost the efficiency of LNSC Officers in the Neighborhood.

Speaking at the meeting, the Director Admin and Human resources, Mr. Oludolapo Omotoye advised the Officers to maintain a high level of discipline, saying that discipline and comportment will make them the cynosure of all eyes. In addition, the Director Operations, Mrs E.O Ogunbode urged the officers to be proud of their Uniforms and prove themselves as worthy ambassadors of the Agency and the State.
